Music: Mixing & Editing Part 3

This morning I sat down and edited the music track I’ve selected down to a more bite-sized format. I haven’t decided on the total length of the film yet, I’ll decide that once I’ve finished blocking in my shots for boarding, but I at least wanted to give myself a general idea. Longer than 4 minutes felt too unmanageable so I’ve edited it down to around 2-3 minutes by cutting out some of the parts of the track I didn’t like. The hardest part was remixing the track so it wasn’t as blatent where I’d made significant cuts.

To do this I used Adobe Audition. It was my first time using this software so I did a lot of googling and watched a few Youtube videos on mixing before I attempted it. I’ll do another pass on the music at the other end of the film in case I need to add additional audio, sound effects, or just smooth out my transitions.
